Chris Roth, President

Chris is a proven, successful leader with a variety of experience in finance, marketing, and logistics. He began his career with Deloitte & Touche, a Big Four auditing firm. He then moved to Sears, Roebuck & Co., most notably as the audit manager for the logistics and imports departments for two years and as a Director for the Marketing and Merchandising departments for three years. His most recent position was as the Chief Financial Officer of a local software company.

Chris Roth purchased Professional Marketing Associates on September 2, 2003. Under his leadership, PMA has maintained its high standards of quality fulfillment and integrity, helping its clients to succeed. PMA has grown tremendously in the last two years and continues to prosper in the direct response industry.


Lou Hagen, Sales and Consulting

Lou Hagen, an industry leader in Direct Response, consults with present and new clients to enhance their programs and campaigns. Lou founded Professional Marketing Associates, Inc. in 1988 and remains very active in the business today.

Lou has worked in the Direct Response arena for 30 years. She started her career in the list business for RR Donnelly. After moving to Arizona, she continued a successful path with mail order giant Ambassador/CPS Direct Marketing in Tempe, AZ. She then became the Vice President of Operations for Direct Marketing Specialists, a printing and telemarketing firm, which allowed her to become well rounded in the industry. Her expertise is unparalleled in regard to fulfillment, media, telemarketing, mailing services and customer/client services.


Ray Cody, Operations Manager

Ray joined the PMA team in 2007. As the Operations Manager, Ray performs analytical review of current and potential programs to provide recommendations regarding cost analysis, feasibility, and over all compatibility with PMA and client goals. Ray oversees operations for order processing, credit card processing, charge backs, claims, financial reviews, and customer service to ensure objectives are being met and customer satisfaction is obtained.

Ray brings 24 years of Air Force experience to PMA. While in the Air Force he proved himself in many fields including management, production, quality assurance, and process improvement. He earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2006.


Jim Smith, Warehouse Manager

Jim was promoted to Warehouse Manager in the fall of 2005 after over a year of outstanding service with PMA. He is responsible for directing all activities in the warehouse, including receiving, order filling and shipping, inventory control, and returns processing. Jim coordinates with clients regarding packaging requirements and handles many special requests.

Jim came to PMA after a 26 year career in the semiconductor industry, where he worked as a customer service specialist for Motorola, handling major domestic as well as international accounts. He had many years of leadership experience in many of Motorola's warehouse operations prior to joining PMA.


Elmer Young, Client Services Manager

Elmer returns to PMA as the new Client Services Manager, after serving as Warehouse Manger for seven years in the 1990’s. Prior to originally joining PMA in 1993, Elmer worked in the transportation industry, having owned Tri-City Trucking and working for several regional and national trucking companies. This connection brought him to his next challenge as the Operations Manager for a large product development and manufacturing operation. Their successful direct response projects included the inbound supply of raw materials and outbound transportation of finished product for 5.5 million Thigh Masters.

Elmer’s success and experience in product design, development, packaging, transportation, and logistics are welcome additions to the services that PMA offers its many clients. Elmer is the single point of contact for our new clients during their setup process, and he works with clients to coordinate special requests, packaging, inventory levels, and inbound transportation.


Jack Scherer, IT Manager

Jack provides the IT expertise for the administration of our data base and network required to service our clients with fast and efficient handling of their orders and shipments. He works with new clients to coordinate their IT function and integrate their ordering system into an organized and secure communication system that translates to expedient processing of our client’s products.

Jack came to PMA after 21 years of diverse experience in a variety of functions in computer information systems, programming, and administration. In the last 12 years Jack served as an Application System Analyst for Southern California Gas Company in Los Angeles, California; worked as a Senior Business Analyst for Honeywell in Tempe, Arizona, including providing application support for their Data Warehouse upgrade; and developed documentation for business rules and programming flow for Vital Processing in Tempe, AZ. His experience in these operations provides a solid foundation for developing and further improving the systems and network at PMA.
